An RBI triple and a two-run homerun from Iowa in the bottom of the fifth gave the Hawkeyes a seven-run lead over the Buckeyes, 9-2.

Andrews was also walked to load the bases for Ohio State, but Iowa once again turned a double play to get out of the inning. Matthew Graveline was next at the plate and he was walked and both runners advanced on a groundout.
