Which, honestly, seems like such a bizarre distinction to make that I feel like he should have just ignored that and called morello BiS. So yes, teeeeechnically morello might not be BiS, but it might as well be because you're going to end up using it anytime you have the opportunity, for no other reason than to shore up your mid to mid-late game before you've got 100% of your comp and/or items. Which means that unless you get some really weird item drops in very specific orders, you're going to end up slamming morello at some point long before you hit final end-game. Morello, on the other hand, is extremely strong on her even if it's the only item she's carrying. I think the real explanation here is that technically there are better items than Morello, but they require synergizing with the other BiS items. Mage Swain is the best spat option, while Divine and Vanguard on anything are also good. Tl dr of the doc is BiS Morgana/Swain is JG + DClaw +1, and play 4 Syphoner with Aatrox + Zilean (3 Cultist), Janna (2 Enlightened), and Ornn for broken value. I've used my climb to Masters half-forcing it and learning how to play this A tier comp. Syphoner is something of a sleeper comp that I don't think I've ever seen played "right." Most people itemize Morgana super sub-optimally or aim to play Talon instead of Swain as a secondary carry. If you miss Dusk, definitely check it out.
Disclaimer: I don't think it's on par with Kayle or Slayers, but it's a super solid option to pocket while you're climbing. I've hit Masters after a bit of a slump in D3-D4 and want to share my favourite synergy with y'all and how to make it work.
